Green Oleo – 2023 Sustainability Report Published
We are proud to announce the presentation of our 2023 Sustainability Report, in which we have introduced double materiality and ESG risk assessment. An analytical process formalized in the 2024-2026 Sustainability Plan, which translates the company’s qualitative and quantitative objectives into measurable commitments over time.
2023 Sustainability Report highlights:
- Sustainable by design: 93% of the raw materials used are renewable and 64% come from upcycling, with a predominantly Italian and European supply chain. Focus on olive oil derivatives, with a reduced carbon footprint compared to other raw materials.
- Energy and water consumption: significant investments in cogeneration and photovoltaic panels, as well as efficient water management.
- Waste: 95% non-hazardous waste, 97% waste for recycling.
- Investment in the production site: 35 million euro since 2012 to improve production capacity and efficiency, environment and safety.
- Our team: investment in continuous training and the well-being of our 81 employees..
- Certifications: obtained the Ecovadis Platinum Medal, as well as RSPO, Halal, Kosher, Cosmos, EFFCI, UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 certifications.
- SDGs: support for SDGs 4 (Quality education), 8 (Decent work and economic growth), 9 (Industry, innovation, infrastructure), 12 (Responsible consumption and production), 13 (climate action).
